The City of Cambridge Education Foundation is a charity. Our members and trustees represent the communities served by the Federation’s schools.
Members
The Foundation currently has several hundred members, made up of
parents, staff, adult learners, governors and trustees. Anyone over the age of 18 who has an interest or involvement with the Federation’s schools can apply to be a member.
Trustees
The Foundation is run by a board of trustees. Some trustees are elected by the members at the annual general meeting. Others – the Representative Trustees – are appointed by groups and organisations from our educational community. The County Council, the City Council, the parents, the partner primary schools and Cambridge Regional College may each appoint one trustee. The Executive Principal and the Chairs of Governors of schools within the Federation are also trustees.
Other trustees at present include representatives of local business and three former chairs of Parkside’s governing body.
